Bury Institution is a further education college that can be found in the Borough of Bury, which is situated in the metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester in England. The institution provides a diverse selection of courses, including those with an A-Level, BTEC, or diploma structure, in addition to other types of courses.

Bury Institution is a further education college that offers degrees for high school graduates who are interested in pursuing A Levels, vocational qualifications, or apprenticeships. In addition to this, it offers a variety of courses for adults, some of which lead to university credentials and are offered in conjunction with the University of Bolton.

Historically, this institution was known as Bury Technical College. Bury Technical College was taken over by the Royal Military College of Science (Fire Administration Wing) in May of 1940 and remained under their control until May of 1946. During this time, the college offered specialised training in the operation of various fire control apparatus. After the reorganisation of the local government that took place in 1974, the institution combined with Radcliffe Technical College to establish what is now known as the Bury Metropolitan College of Further Education.

As a consequence of the decision made by Bury Council to establish a tertiary provision system for the town of Bury, Bury College was upgraded to the status of a tertiary college on September 1, 1987. The buildings of what was once known as Bury Institution of Further Education in Bury and Radcliffe were merged with those of Peel Sixth Form College, Stand Sixth Form College, and a number of Youth Training Scheme units situated in different areas of the borough to become the college.

Over the last several years, Bury College has spent over forty million pounds on the construction of new facilities and buildings specifically for its students. The institution has recently invested in brand new facilities, including IT offices, computer assisted design studios, and construction and engineering labs. The new improvements in Woodbury include a new learning resource centre and library, art studios that meet industry standards, a new outdoor plaza to expand the amount of area dedicated to social activities, and classrooms.
