Burton Wilkins III (born 30 March 1987) is an American real estate broker, entrepreneur, and public speaker. He currently serves as a co-managing partner at Goldcoast Sotheby’s International Realty, a globally renowned real-estate firm and his legacy started by his father. Wilkins is also one of the leading agents of ONE Sotheby's International Realty, a sister firm to a vast real-estate empire of the Wilkins family based in Miami, Florida.[1]

Wilkins holds real estate licenses in Florida and New Jersey. Along the entire eastern coast of the United States, Wilkins is a key player in significant sales of luxury real estate. He is renowned for his specialized twin market concentration in Ocean City, New Jersey, and Miami, Florida, and is considered one of the most sought-after real estate professionals in the industry. He received the Circle of Excellence Awards in 2021 and 2022 and has sold properties worth $50M with his team as of 2023.[2]

Early life and education

Burton Wilkins III was born on 30 March 1987 in Ocean City, New Jersey, to Burton Wilkins and Susan Wilkins and grew up with a sister named Emily Wilkins. He graduated with a Bachelor's in Hospitality Management from Johnson and Wales University in Miami.[3]

Wilkins, at a young age, started understanding the ropes of the real-estate industry, learning from his father, who is also an owner and broker at Goldcoast Sotheby’s International Realty.[4][5]

Career

Wilkins moved to Miami after completing his education, and in 2010 he attained his Florida real estate license.[6][7] He is currently registered to practice real estate in Florida and New Jersey.[8][9]

Wilkins uses his training in hospitality to deliver a personalized, one-of-a-kind luxury real estate experience.[10][11] He works at the family-run Goldcoast Sotheby's International Realty office in New Jersey with his father and sister. Within Sotheby's International Realty, Wilkins specializes in the international referral program and has a sizable international clientele.[12][13]

In 2021 Burton sold a $12,125,000 condo in a luxury high rise in Miami Beach, FL. In 2022 Burton sold a luxury single family home in Stone Harbor for $6,450,000. Wilkins and his team made an off-market acquisition of the Ocean Front Hotel at 1417 Ocean Avenue in 2021, with a sale price of $5,000,000.[14][15] Soon after, Wilkins and his group secured a $2,799,000 listing for a commercial restaurant, multi-fam property located on Ocean City's 9th Street. Over the years, Wilkins and his team have sold real-estate properties in excess of $500+M.[16][17]
