Work

Phelan's work has garnered attention with a wide range of international brands, including White Claw Hard Seltzer, Nike, Inc., Verizon Communications, Twitter, Abercrombie & Fitch|Abercrombie, Moschino and Puma (brand). In 2021 John Shea the Chief marketing officer of White Claw Hard Seltzer hired Phelan to bring her unconventional creative approach to the "Let's White Claw" Global Campaign. "Let's White Claw" features people coming together to enjoy not only a White Claw, but each other, “This campaign has truly been a collaboration,” Phelan said in a statement. The White Claw team “valued my creative input and gave me a ton of freedom in how to represent each moment we captured on film. Each of the films we made together is pulled from my own life experiences, so to see them on screen evoking the same emotion I felt at the time is really rewarding as a director.”[1] According to Adweek, Phelan is considered an unconventional, up-and-coming director. Her work is recognized for exploring subtle insights on human emotion and the universal truths of shared experiences.[2] File:DSC2997 (1).jpg|thumb|Britphelan Phelan started her career as an Film editor|editor and cinematographer, while working at several agencies such Wieden+Kennedy|Wieden + Kennedy, YouTube and 72andSunny. [3][4] Her background adds a unique framing and pacing to her work. Phelan creates environments where intimacy and emotion are in plain view and one can feel the authenticity to each story. Phelan's work is natural and relatable as if you were friends with the people on screen.

In 2018, Phelan founded Little Known Post House. After ten years of working for several prestigious advertising and creative agencies, Phelan wanted to bring her nimble approach to the creative workflow. Little Known has collaborated with dozens of creatives and brands from around the globe.[5]

Personal Life

On the day Phelan was born, Francis Ford Coppola predicted Phelan's career in his documentary "Heart of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse." Coppola states that one day a kid from nowhere with a little pocket camera would break down the abstract professionalism of film and transform it into an art form by being able to film the world around them.[6] Phelan's first camera was a little Flip Video|flip camera that she won in a raffle. The first thing she ever shot with that camera was a documentary of her trip to Varanasi|Varanasi, India. Like so many people, Phelan moved to Hollywood in 2016 where she began her directorial career that documented her own life. [7]
