Brian Sauvé (born January 6, 1991) is an American Christian pastor, musician, and classical school founder. He has served as the Pastor of Preaching & Liturgy at Refuge Church in Ogden, Utah since his mid-20s...[1]. He has started and co-hosted various podcasts and music albums[2][3]. He has also written for Crosspolitic[4], DeeplyRootedMag[5], For The Church[6]. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical studies from Calvary Chapel Bible College[7] and considers himself Reformed Baptists, Protestantism, Postmillennialism and Patriarchy[8]. He also has an active Twitter account that has been the topic of much controversy, especially after a post in February 2022 where he made a comment about women's attire which even received a comment from Beth Moore[9][10][11]. He also founded a classical school at his church called "St. Brendan's Classical Christian Academy".[12]

Theology

Brian Sauvé is Reformed Baptist[13], Calvinism|Calvinistic[14] and historically orthodox[15][16]. He has also been known to carry countercultural viewpoints that are separate from mainstream American Christianity such as his controversial support of patriarchy[17], disapproval of Netflix[18] and rejection of Dispensationalism[19]

Maximalism

Brian Sauvé is a proponent of Christian Maximalism or put briefly "All of Christ for all of Life"[20] and frequently references Colossians 2:2-3 to support the idea that the belief in Christ should spread to all things from the household, workplace, politics and even cooking[21]. He strongly opposes Two Kingdoms theology|two kingdoms theology which he says attempts to limit Christian living to only church and the household[22]. He also favors Christians indoctrinating their children[23].

Post Millennialism

Brian Sauvé subscribes to a Postmillennialism|Post Millennial Eschatology[24][25]. He used to be Dispensational but after reading authors like Sam Storms and David Chilton he switched to firstly to Amillenialism before landing at Post Millennialism[26]. He claims that he has an optimistic eschatology in that the glory of God is slowly filling the Earth until the great commission is a success and Christ arrives to an Earth filled with the glory of God. As a result, he stresses on the need for Christians to build Christendom, not as a "top down" approach of getting the right leaders in power approach but a "bottom top" approach where many people are saved, thus naturally causing a mass conforming to the commandments of Christ[25]. This is a significant reason for his support and investment in biblical Christian content and businesses.

Family

Brian Sauvé lives in Utah with his wife Lexy Sauvé and their five children[27]
