Braeden Lichti is a Canadian business professional and entrepreneur that has spent more than 15 years creating and identifying value in various financial markets.[1][2] Mr. Lichti is the founder and CEO of BWL Investments, a public markets venture capital investment firm, and also manages NorthStrive Companies Inc., a US wholly owned subsidiary of BWL Investments Ltd.[3] Mr. Lichti is also a Co-Founder and investor at ELEVAI Labs Inc.[4][5][6] and he Co-Founded Health Logic Interactive Inc., which eventually sold its operating subsidiary to Marizyme, Inc., in Q4 2021.[7]

As an active investor, Mr. Lichti typically takes board seats and invests in emerging companies in the biotechnology and medical aesthetic space and utilizes the public markets to facilitate larger follow-on institutional funding rounds.[8] Mr. Lichti is known as a public market venture capital investor and is recognized as an expert in restructuring, financing, and creating many companies that have been listed on national stock exchanges or have been bought out.[9][10][11]

Early life

Braeden was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Braeden also moved to London, England in 2014 and resided in west London for many years.[12] He attributes his interest in capital markets and entrepreneurship to his late father, an investment banker, who taught him at an early age how to undertake company due diligence and research on public companies before making an investment decision. At age 15, Lichti began investing through a broker in several Canadian-listed equities and has been active ever since. He has maintained this long-standing interest in investing in early-stage ventures and building companies and credits much of his success from not only taking risks but learning from mistakes he made along the way and his strong sense of independence, and contrarian views which have been a mindset of his since his early teens.[12]

Career

Lichti established BWL Investments in 2016 and has remained its CEO since its inception.[13] BWL Investments is a private Canadian company specializing in creating and identifying public markets venture capital investment opportunities across global industries, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices and aesthetics, and biotechnology.[14][15][16]

Lichti is the co-founder and investor of ELEVAI Labs Inc., a biotechnology company established in 2020 that specializes in advanced regenerative skincare solutions for the physician-dispensed market.[17][18]

Lichti previously co-founded Health Logic Interactive Inc., a TSX-listed diagnostic company that developed a device for chronic kidney disease diagnosis, which was later acquired by Marizyme Inc. in 2021.[19][20]

Additionally, Lichti manages NorthStrive Companies Inc., the US wholly owned subsidiary of BWL Investments Ltd. NorthStrive is focused on US biotech and medical aesthetics venture capital opportunities.[21][22] Additionally, Lichti has been a published author in leading in aesthetic medical skincare publications.[23][24]

In 2023, Braeden Lichti led a shareholder activist campaign[25] to remove the board of Hydromer Inc. His efforts culminated in the successful removal of the entire board. Following this transition, Lichti was appointed as the Executive Chairman, accompanied by a new set of directors.[26][27]
