Nikos Tzemanakis (Greek: Νίκος Τζεμανάκης, born 01 August 1985), widely known as Beat-les is a DJ, music producer and entrepreneur of Cretan origin, active mainly in Greece.

He became famous with his song “Miss You (Son Of The Sun)” in 2011, which was featured in 5 collections worldwide. He has, also, participated in the Amita Motion Positive Battles.[1] competition as a judge. He is a resident DJ at Colourday Festival[2]. He is the owner of Boiler Room[3] in Athens and of the nationally known Feelfamous.gr[4]. He is part of the Zebra Records[5] Label, of which he is also the owner.

Early life

Nikos Tzemanakis was born on August 01 in Athens. His father is from Chania, Crete, while his mother is from Vari, Attica. From an early age, Bobito, showed great love and interest in music. After graduating from the Comprehensive High School of Vari, he began studying at the Technical Educational Institute of Piraeus[6] in the department of Electronics. At the same time, throughout his whole life, he played football, which he still continues to do to this day, playing in the Hellenic Futsal Super League[7] for AEK Futsal[8], Kallithea Futsal and Minotavros.

Career

2003-2006

First Career Steps

In 2003, Bobito takes his first career steps as a DJ in local neighborhood bars in Varkiza and Glyfada. The first places he played at were Sensi, Vento, Zen in Athens and Chroma in Karystos.

2007-2008

Military Service

In 2007 it was time for him to fulfill his military obligations in Thebes, Patras, Alexandroupolis and Athens as a gunsmith, living for a year away from music.

2008-2010

First Business Steps & Music Production Studies

In 2008, his great passion for music and his business acumen led him to create “Beat-les Productions” and the first theme parties, named “Thriller Nights”[9]. He created the first public relations company, that is still organizing spectacular events. The company began with original theme parties in Piraeus. Initially they were based on unique House and RnB parties with original shows by experienced dancers, presenting each time unforgettable nights, attracting the chicest glamorous audience of Athens. “Thriller Nights” were very successful and were supported by various brands like Johnie Walker, Shark, Bacardi, Jägermeister, Stoli and more. At the same time, he joined the SAE Institute of Athens[10] to study electronic music production, while he also joined the conservatory of Vari, taking his first classical piano lessons. His love for music put him in the studio with friends and collaborators which led him to make his first productions.

2011-2013

Establishment of feelfamous.gr & First Music Productions

Feelfamous.gr[4] was founded in May 2011. Feelfamous.gr is an informative photo site, part of the Beat-les Group, that covers most of Athens’ nightclubs, while also presents news with the latest events. “Beat-les Productions” became “Beat-les Group”, as their office in addition to public relations, became an advertising company covering the needs of nightlife entrepreneurs, in the fields of Web Design & Advertising, Application Development and printing services.

In the summer of 2011, he made his first official release on Sun:Set 1[11] by Alexandros Christopoulos[12] by Kilk Records[13] with the song ‘Miss You’[14] and the Official Remix of the Vegas[15] song – Fili by Warner Music[16]. In 2012 he remixed Mamacita Buena[17] by Claydee[18] that was released worldwide by Ultra Music[19]. As a DJ, he was a resident at the biggest night clubs of Athens, such as Candy Bar, Dream City, Camas ‘The Club’, HousAki Bar, Akan8us, Apla Ellinika and Boiler Room Athens.

In the same year he took over the management of LiV Nightclub in Athens, where he is a resident DJ.

2014-2017

Establishment of Boiler Room & Music Productions

2014 found him with the re-release of the song ‘Miss You’ on one of the largest collections worldwide, Buddha Bar[20] and on two more, Huvafen Fushi Maldives[21] after being selected by the famous DJ Ravin[22] and on Cosmopolis Italy after being selected by the Radio Monte Carlo[23], as he was also for a second consecutive year on Sun:Set 2 by Cobalt Music[24] with the remix of the song ‘Have you ever’ by Chris IDH [25]and the beautiful ‘You make my nights[26]’ by Roni Iron[27] by Planetworks[28]. He also signed the song ‘Erotas’[29] by Lefteris Pantazis, which has received more than 5.5 million views on YouTube. At the end of 2014 he released his first personal single ‘Kati Na Nioso[30]’ with Josephine[31] with Panik Records[32].

In 2014 he co-founded Boiler Room Athens.

In 2015 he made the Official Remix of “Zitima Zois Kai Thanatou''[33] by Barrice[34] and a few months later he remixed “Epimeno''[35] by Barrice and released by Spicy Music[36]! In 2016 he signed a 2 year contract with the record company “Spider Music”[37], with which he released the song “Agapi Mono”[38][39][40][41] [42]with the lyrics and music written by him and his partner Barrice.

In 2016 he co-founded Spook All Day Café & Eatery, which was also his first attempt in the food sector. He kept it for 2 years. In the same year, Bobito was asked to become a coach on a project of Amita Motion Positive Battles[43][44][45][46][47] and he taught new talent the secrets of the best performance alongside recognized artists.

2018-2019

In 2018, it was time for him to participate in his first big Festival, Colour Day[48][49][50][51][2] that was held at OAKA Stadium[52]. In 2018 he signed with his first 2 sponsors, Hausbrandt[53] and Pure Energy Drink. In 2019, now a resident of Colour Day, he strikes again with a unique and original Live with Lila Trianti,[54] who reached the semifinals of the X-Factor[55], playing in front of 40,000 spectators. A little later, he also took part in the Dreamland Festival[56] that was also held at OAKA stadium with ZN[57]

2020

In 2020 he launched his own record company, Zebra Records[5] with the talented DJ Paco[58], that signed the biggest hits of 2019-2020… (Mama, GiGi, Cyan, Dealer, Chains on You (Eurovision 2020))[59]

Bobito has played all over Greece. He has played in Agrinio, Aegina, Aliveri, Amaliada, Andros, Arta, Astros, Argos, Gialova, Ioannina, Drama, Elefsina, Ermioni, Igoumenitsa, Thessaloniki, Kalamata, Karystos, Corfu,Kefalonia, Koroni, Kourouta, Kos, Lamia, Leonidio, Lemnos, Marmari, Megalopoli, Megara, Messolonghi, Mykonos, Mytilene, Naxos, Nafplio, Xylokastro, Patras, Preveza, Porto Heli, Rethymno, Rhodes, Salamina, Santorini, Serifos, Sitia, Skala Lakonias, Sparta, Spetses, Syros, Tripoli, Filippiada, Chania, Chranoi Messinias and other cities in Greece.

The great island of Cyprus also showed great interest in Bobito, who has played in Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca and Nicosia and who still continues to visit the island every so often. He has also played outside Greece, in countries like Bulgaria, Romania, Germany and England (Manchester and London).

During these years he played many warm up sets and back2backs for many Greek and foreign artists. For Flo Rida[60] in 2009 and 2010, Stromae[61], Asteroids[62], Kiko Navaro[63], Kenny Carpenter[64], Bang La Decks [65], and Rouls and Doors[66]. For Greek artists such as G-pal, Andrianos Papadeas, Alexandros Christopoulos, Chris Child, Johnie Bransco, Roni Iron, Deejay Paris, Nikos Chalkousis, Vasili Koutonia, Michalis Tsaousopoulos, Kostas Zikos, Mary Argyriadou, Eleni Tsolaki, Natalia Germanou, as he has also played at Greek nights on behalf of Ilias Vretos, George Tsalikis, Kyriakos Kyanos, Sakis Arseniou, Lefteris Pantazis, Nios Oikonomopoulos, Christinas Salti, Demy, Nino, Nikos Gkanos, Kostas Martakis, Triantafilos, Vegas, Eleni Foureira, Ominus, Nikos Apergis, Christina Koletsa and many more…
