Bobby Wahi (born December 1967) is a British entrepreneur known for his achievements in real estate and renewable energy development.[1] He is the Chief Executive Officer of Greenquest Solutions. Wahi's entrepreneurial spirit and extensive experience in real estate and renewable energy development have enabled him to make a significant impact in these industries.[2]

Wahi was a Goodwill Ambassador at At-Large for the CISRI-ISP Inter-governmental Organisation under treaty N.37542 of the United Nations and is the Commissioner in charge of the CISRI Orphanage Commission.[3]

Early life and education

Wahi was born in the United Kingdom, on December 29, 1967. He obtained his LLB (Hons) degree in law from the University of Buckingham in 1994.

Career

Wahi started his real estate business, renovating various residential and commercial properties, including pubs, hospitals, and petrol stations. Before venturing into renewable energy development, Wahi built up a UK housing portfolio of 220 properties over 20 years before the crash of 2008.[4]

Currently, Wahi is the Chairman of Greenquest Solutions, a company he founded in 2009 to develop utility-scale solar farms worldwide. His extensive global contacts, and experience working with the United Nations for humanitarian purposes, enabled him to expand the company portfolio substantially.[5]

Under Wahi's leadership, Greenquest Solutions along with various global renewable energy developers was involved in numerous projects internationally to name a few in Kazakhstan, Cameroon, Japan, Africa, and Europe. The company collaborated with over 30 companies and stakeholders to develop solar farms, totaling over 40 projects.

in 2011 Greenquest solutions signed an MOU with the Ministry of Energy, Cameroon for 500MW of solar PV projects. In 2013 the Japanese government provided support to Greenquest solutions with access to multiple lands for the development of Solar PV plants. In 2016 GQS signed an MOU with Alka Power and the Pakistan government for the deployment of 500MW of Solar PV projects in the country.

In 2018 Greenquest Solutions was part of a consortium that constructed a 100MW Solar PV project in southern Kazakhstan.

In 2022, Wahi with other industry professionals established a unique public offering that enabled retail customers to acquire an interest in solar panels in utility-scale solar parks. Solar panels generate an annual return that normally beats inflation. The new platform ensures client’s panels are fully managed from procurement to installation and long term management and collection of the tariff.

Philanthropy

Aside from his commercial achievements, Wahi volunteered as Goodwill Ambassador-At-Large for CISRI-ISP Inter-governmental Organisation under treaty N.37542 of the United Nations. He gave a speech at the UN on the benefits of Spirulina and the fight against malnutrition.

In 2006, Wahi was invited to be the Honorary Consul to Spain for the Commonwealth of Dominica by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit. He was also conferred Grand Commander of The Order of Humanitarian Merit by the Secretary-General CISRI-ISP Inter-governmental Organisation.
