Bobby Castro (born March 1, 1967) is an American self-made transformative entrepreneur, investor and speaker.[1] He is best known as founder of Bankers HealthCare Group and ORTSAC Capital Group. Castro was named Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the year in 2012.[2]

In 2001, he founded Bankers Healthcare Group, a finance company focused on healthcare professionals. Under his leadership, Bankers Healthcare Group was named the fifth fastest growing business in 2005 and was valued at $1 billion in 2019.[3] Castro sold his stake and exited Bankers Healthcare Group in 2019 to start ORTSAC Capital Group, a private investment company.

Throughout his career, Castro has been widely covered as a transformative entrepreneur in high tier news outlets and magazines including Forbes, Fortune and Wall Street Journal. Castro, has an individual net worth of $300 million and is known for his positive mental attitude and inspiring team with his leadership.[4][5]

Early life

Castro was born in the Bronx, New York, and raised in Miami, Florida. Castro’s mother worked as a waitress, to support her family. Castro along with his mother moved to Florida, with a sum investment of $25,000 in order to start a new venture. Bobby Castro’s journey to success started out with the conception of his first business idea - RTC janitorial cleaning which he started after he dropped out of school in the 9th grade.

Since then, Castro worked in the hospitality and sales industry, learning the ropes one step at a time. He worked several jobs, as a valet parking boy, bus boy, cleaning jobs, delivery jobs and others to make ends meet.

Right from his childhood, Castro laid importance to the fundamentals of a positive working environment and honing his people skills, which is a major reason behind his success. Castro, with utmost diligence, turned out to be a self-made billionaire.

Career

In 2001, Castro started a new business - Bankers HealthCare Group inspired from his wife’s job in a medical office. Bankers HealthCare Group started offering financing solutions specifically to the healthcare professionals. Within a span of 4 years, Bankers HealthCare Solutions was named one of the fastest growing companies in 2005.

Bankers HealthCare Group, under the leadership of Castro, was named 13 times in the INC 500/5000 list and was highly acclaimed by magazines such as Forbes, Fortune, Entrepreneur, Hispanic 500, Crain’s and several others. Castro was named Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the year in 2012

After staying with Bankers HealthCare Group for nearly 18 years, Castro sold his stake from the company at a $1 billion dollar valuation. In 2019, he founded ORTSAC Capital Group, a real-estate investment group. ORTSAC deals in JV’s, LP, Co-Investments, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Lending.[6]

But that is not all, Castro having achieved financial freedom, decided to share his experience on online channels and talk-shows, revealing his mantra to success - The Fundamentals of Scaling - Positive Mental Attitude, Non-Refundable Minutes, Attack, Massive urgent action and Stack & Rack. Personal life

Castro married Sofia Castro in 1990. Both Castro and Sophia grew up in Miami and they have a son and daughter, Brandon and Priscilla.
