Bob Oré-Abitbol also known as Bob Oré is a Canadian entrepreneur, author, book publisher, art dealer, fashion designer, and philosopher. He is the creator of the Bob Oré luxury clothing and handbag brand, founder of BOA art gallery, and the co-editor and publisher of Balzac éditeurs and Balzac Publishing. Oré-Abitbol specializes in public relations, marketing, and project development.[1] He presently serves as the Ceo and President, New Identity (dba Maison Mére) LLC, partner in Tensale LLC, owner and CEO of Boa Art Gallery in Los Angeles representing artists from all over the world.[2][3]

Bob Oré is an award-winning author of five published books, seven plays, and two poetry books. Oré-Abitbol as a patron of arts is known for the upliftment of the artists, creating and bringing projects to life.[4]

Oré-Abitbol, apart from his contributions in the art world, is recognized as a valuable member of the community and has even served at various organizations in leading positions such as Sister City World Program, Red Cross Acapulco, Government of Guerrero, Lions Club, and others. He was also an advisor to the governor and a Jewish appeal President in Montreal. (Section Sepharade).[5]

Early life and education

Oré-Abitbol was born on November 08, 1954, to Simon Abitbol and Simone Malka in Casablanca, Morocco. While growing up, he lived in Paris, France studying theater at Lycee Lyautey, École Nationale de theatre. He also did writing and directing under renowned professor and director Jean Vilar and Raymond Rouleau.

Career

Oré-Abitbol started his career in 1974 when he founded Bob Oré International, a leading fashion design firm based in Montreal Canada. Under the leadership of Oré-Abitbol, the company under the name of “Oré international” expanded its horizons and created a chain of over 35 stores as well as selling wholesale in different countries.. Oré-Abitbol’s company is known for it’s inventory of numerous luxury brands such as Pierre Cardin, Hermes, Lanvin, Versace, Cacharel, Antonella Tricot, and others. Some of the well-known projects of Oré-Abitbol as Producer include Ballet de France, The biggest Firework in the world in Acapulco, the musical “Jesus was his name”, Hollywood Story and Cirque Eos.[6]

In 1990, Oré-Abitbol was appointed as the President of the International Red Cross, Acapulco. He served for over a decade for this institution and then left in 2000. In 2003,in Los Angeles, where he moved he founded Le Trés Joli French Festival with the French Consulate and the City of Los Angeles, Sister Cities Festival.He then co-produced the Venetian Ball in Beverly Hills as well as owning for a time Cirque Eos (A cirque similar to Cirque du Soleil).[7]

Some of the highly acclaimed events that Oré-Abitbol worked in are City of Acapulco, My Virtual Model, Canada, Smartmoov Canada.[8] Oré-Abitbol also organized The French Film Festival in Acapulco.

In 2005, Oré-Abitbol established the Backdoor Art Gallery, a Contemporary Art Gallery in Beverly Hills. He worked for five years for this gallery and in 2010 started BOA, another gallery dedicated to the Contemporary Arts in West Hollywood. During this time, Oré-Abitbol also started working as a publisher with Cogito Medias.[9]

In 2015, Oré-Abitbol became a partner with Robert Triquére of Balzac Editeurs, a publishing firm with operations in France, Canada, and the US. Oré-Abitbol is also the Co-Founder and Executive Producer of the Venetian Ball, which he started with The Starlight Foundations.[10]

Oré-Abitbol, during his career, has also worked as an editor and publisher of Acapulco magazine, and executive producer in Mexico for the performances of the opera singer Placido Domingo, Michael Jackson, and Madonna. He presently serves as the Ceo and President of Maison Mere, New Identity, Boa Art gallery and co-owner of Tensale (dba Bob Oré bags)

Apart from his highly acclaimed role in the arts and fashion industry, Oré-Abitbol has also played an integral role in the community. He served as the Président of The Festival Sepharade in Montreal twice, of the sister cities of Acapulco, Beverly Hills, and Cannes for seven years as an official representative, and was also an advisor to the Tourism Minister and Advisor of the Governor of Guerrero. He was also a part of a team that created a village for the elderly through “The Little Brother of the Poor” (“Les Petits Frères des Pauvres”).

Personal life

Oré-Abitbol married Patricia Molina in 1980 and had two children together named Simon Oré Abitbol and Maïa Oré Abitbol de Rullan. He got divorced in 2000. Maia is a 32-year-old film editor, and Simon is a 36-year-old writer and producer. He lived In Casablanca,Morocco, Paris (France) Montréal (Canada) and presently lives in Los Angeles (USA) for the past twenty years

He is fluent in French, English, Spanish, and Italian and has good notions of Hebrew, Arabic and Portuguese
