History

Named after Sullivan's blue Ford Motor Company that was stolen, BLUEOX held their first recording session on April 1, 2018.[1] Dykowsky and Sullivan first met at a Coffeehouse before deciding to record in the studio together that April Fools' Day.[1] After just two hours, the duo had written and recorded their first song together, entitled "Whatever It Is".[5]

The following year, BLUEOX released their first single "Panic Attack", a Stoner rock|stoner-rock tune about love and lust[5], followed by "Walk Tall".[6]

In 2020, the duo released three more singles: "Brokedown Palace", a cover of the Grateful Dead track by the same name, "Black Star Road", and "Ten Feet Tall".[7] In addition, BLUEOX released their first EP entitled Fearless.[7] The title track and first song on the EP is a tribute to Pink Floyd's "Fearless".[3] The rest of the EP is made up of three new original songs: "The List", "Whatever It Is", and "Fly On".[7]
