Behrouz Sebt Rasoul born July 7, 1970 is an Iranian director, screenwriter and producer. In 2023 Tajikistan submitted Behrouz Sebt Rasoul’s Melody for the 96th Academy Awards, the country's first entry in 18 years.[1][2][3]

Life and career

He has graduated as an Industrial Engineer but he pivoted towards film industry since 2008. He is an independent film maker and created most of his films independently. He is the founder and managing director of Nama Film company.[4] Using non-actors is one of traits of his films. He has created drama and documentary films both short and long. His films have been received in Iranian and international film festivals.

Behrouz Sebt Rasoul started by playing Persian traditional instruments to become a member of Iran Music House. He then continued as a writer and after publishing of his works accepted as a member of Iran Book House.
