Behdad Bagheri is an art director and senior 3D environment artist who serves as Chairman of Vanda Co.

Behdad Bagheri (born March 22, 1991) is an Iranian 3D animator and artist known for his contributions to the animation industry. He is recognized for his self-taught approach to animation and has garnered numerous awards and recognition for his works.[1]

Early Life and Education

Bagheri was born in Tehran, Iran, to a non-artistic family. His interest in animation ignited at the age of 9 when he was introduced to the world of computers. With his curiosity piqued, he embarked on a journey of self-learning, using 3D Studio 4 software under the DOS operating system. Over time, his technical skills evolved alongside technological advancements, shaping his path in animation.[2]

Career and Contributions

Despite lacking formal art education, Bagheri ventured into the field of 3D animation. He has held diverse roles within the animation industry, including art director, production supervisor, animation supervisor, rendering supervisor, 3D modeling lead, 3D environment artist, general artist, lighting specialist, shader artist, and more.
