A Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a bachelor's degree in business administration that is awarded by colleges and universities after completion of undergraduate study in the fundamentals of business management and usually including advanced courses in accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, strategic management, supply chain management, and other key academic subjects associated with the academic discipline of business manage. BBAs are typically awarded after four years of full-time study at an accredited college or university.

In addition to enabling students to concentrate their studies on a specific topic, the degree is intended to provide a general understanding of the interrelationships between the many functional parts of an organisation. Students in BBA programmes are thus exposed to a number of "core disciplines," and students are often given the opportunity to specialise in a particular academic field; see also apart.

In addition, the degree helps students improve their practical, management, and communication abilities, as well as their capacity to make sound business decisions. In many cases, students will get theoretical knowledge as well as hands-on experience via the completion of case studies, oral presentations, internships, field trips to local businesses, and discussions with industry professionals.

The arts and social sciences play a significant role in fulfilling general education standards (history, economics, and literature). Coverage of mathematics is often restricted to "Quantitative Applications for Business" or, alternatively, courses in Calculus for business or Calculus 101, as well as business- or general-statistics. This is because the vast majority of mathematical topics are relevant to business.
