Audiobook Income Academy (AIA) is an initiative by PublishingLife.com designed to provide a step-by-step guide to help people gain financial independence by leveraging the power of audiobooks.[1] As of 2022, AIA is the biggest self-publishing education program in the world and has over 25,000 enrolled students.[2][3][4]

History

Audiobook Income Academy was launched in 2018 by the twin brothers Christian Mikkelsen and Rasmus Mikkelsen under the company name PublishingLife.com.[5] AIA is a step-by-step program teaching people how to make money online by publishing books and audiobooks on Amazon and Audible.[6] The objective behind their venture is to help everyday people quit their 9 to 5 and find freedom with the Amazon book publishing business model.[7][8]

Both Christian and Rasmus started out with little websites but quickly realized audiobooks made more money per hour than websites did.[9] Their primary focus is on educating others on how to generate passive income through the publication of digital content.[10]

The Mikkelsen Twins began by researching which books sold the most on Amazon and hiring ghostwriters to write the content and professional cover designers to create the covers.[11] The twins then put the books together and self-published them on Amazon, which generated them a good income. In 2018, they launched the 1st version of the AIA program working together with a team of 20 experts to provide people with 1-on-1 coaching calls.[12][13]

Audiobook Income Academy offers a step-by-step guide to building your own online audiobook business and earning a passive income every month.[14] Besides the basic course, AIA also has its 2.0 version, wherein users can find a 7-module course that walks one through the nitty-gritty of online business and how to make money by publishing on Amazon.[15][16][17]

Audiobook Income Academy also offers a supplementary course that teaches you how to expand outside of Amazon and approach other platforms for increased exposure and revenue.[18]
