Arthur Egeli, impressionist painter,[1][2] teacher, gallery owner,[3] film producer[4] and director[5] working and has resided in Provincetown, Massachusetts, Los Angeles, California and Washington State beach.

He began studying with his parents Cedric and Joanette Egeli and his grandparents Bjorn Egeli and Lois Egeli. It was very traditional, indoors, working from the model, but his world opened up when he began studying with Impressionist Henry Hensche at this summer studio in Provincetown, Massachusetts. These would be chronicled in his award winning film The Art of Passion.[6]

After studying (on a creative arts scholarship) film production at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, he headed for California to pursue his film-making interests. Though he sold over a dozen screenplays during that period, he continued to grow as an artist, winning awards at the American Impressionist Society, The California Art Club and at the Oil Painters of American. He became a well known painter in southern California, with his paintings selling through Tirage Art Gallery and landing in many corporate and private collections, including Harpers.

He met actress / producer Heather Hayes in 1990 and they have two children. Together they have produced three feature films together Ghost Forest, Murder on the Cape, and The Black Emperor of Broadway.
