Armone Tyson (born September 4, 1991) is an African American creative designer, entrepreneur, and artist. Armone is the founder of Art is Tra, a creative design company. Although he is best known for his hydro dipping art skills, Armone is well-equipped with the creative ability to design all things, including designer bags, cleats, weight belts, sneakers, and canvas, to name a few. His style comprises hand painting, airbrushing, and water graphic designs. Armone’s creations are inspired by real-life experiences and events that add a customized personal touch to his project designs.[1]
Armone is often recognized as an artist who consistently helps other artists and creatives grow, develop, and overcome technical obstacles. He has gained notoriety from engaging and helping others and ambitiously encouraging them to start pursuing their goals. Armone promotes this mindset daily to thousands of his followers through his live feeds and social media handles. Additionally, he also travels across the country to do art and sneaker events and personally meet other artists. Armone has been credited as the iSlides winner and the brand ambassador for Manhattan Wardrobe Supply after successfully winning the MWS Sneaker Artist Contest.[2]
Early life and education
Armone was born on September 4, 1991, in Muskegon, Michigan. He graduated in 2009 from Muskegon High School. Armone began with customizing and designing iPhone cases alongside his brother, which further paved his way towards learning and mastering the art of hydro dipping.
Career
Armone decided to start hydro-dipping sneakers along with his partners HeatMcGee and Regular Joecustom. He is often regarded as a color connoisseur, owing to his expertise in customizing any color. Prior to establishing Art Is Tra, Armone worked as a creative designer with companies such as Peloton, Young Money, Under Armour, Eastbay, OKC Thunder, Champ Sports, Kay Yow Foundation, and several others. He is known to have designed custom pairs for various NFL and NBA athletes and sportspersons such as Ben Rithisbetger, TJ Watt, Tom Bradys, Adam Viniteri, and Deshawn Jackson. Armone has gained fame and recognition as an artist who strives to take people through different forms of art by designing customized sneakers. He considers different kinds of footwear, from slides, boots, heels, and sneakers, as canvases, which he paints through his skills in various art forms.[3]
Armone has led the foundation of Built 2 Hustle, a weight belt company that designs custom weight-lifting belts for hundreds of IFBB PRO and other bodybuilding athletes. Built 2 Hustle establishes itself as a creative outlet for bodybuilding brands and athletes.
