Anthony Bless (born May 30, Anthony Meija Bless) is an actor, athlete, hip-hop artist, and songwriter. He is the founder of an entertainment corporation, “The Bless Effect, Inc” that deals with television, film, and music. Through his acting and music recording, Bless has gained news media attention. Bless has been regularly invited to perform at venues like Hwood Group’s The Peppermint Club, American Airlines Arena, and Club Mansion Miami.[1]

Born in Queens, NY, and raised in Miami, Bless has started his career from rap battles to publishing his own album “BLESS”. He started recording his first album at 19 years old with Big Dreamers, Inc. A prominent figure in hip-hop music, Bless is widely credited for his roles of Agent Malcolm Green in “Ruthless” and in the role of  Javier in “Sistas”, He created the official theme song for “Ruthless”. He has a significant following in NY, Miami, and LA.[2]

Early life and education

Anthony Bless was raised as a Catholic. His ancestry includes Afro- Cuban and Puerto Rican. Right from his childhood, his growing idols were SuperMan, Michael Jordan and Rocky Balboa. He graduated from Florida International University (FIU) in English/Psychology.[3]

Career

Bless’s musical career started with freestyle sessions and recordings at DJ Miner’s spot (Miami). From there, rap battles helped him to get the street cred and to begin working on his 1st album “Respect Comes 1st” with the production team called “Big Dreamers, Inc.” (Circa 2001). Since then there were countless performances at several venues throughout Florida including American Airlines Arena, Club Space, Club Mansion Miami, and performed overseas in the Bahamas aboard the Carnival Imagination for the official OMG Memorial Weekend Cruise.

Anthony Bless was a part of the show Burn Notice’s set for the last 2 seasons and played a principal role in the episode: “Neighborhood Watch.” After that project was over he played the lead actor and songwriter in his own full production music video “LoveDrug.” His songs are Ruthless, So Long Ago, Aphrodite and East Los became popular and gave him fame. In 2019, he started his own company The Bless Effect, Inc.[4]

Personal life

In his free time, Anthony Bless trains in the martial art of Jeet Kune Do under TeeBone Mitchell and goes hiking with his Pitbull, Hendrix. He always believes that God, family, love, and success are driving forces of his life. His life’s purpose is to use his gifts to inspire the world to live passionately & with purpose.[5]
