Ann Marie Sanderlin is an American Film Producer. She joined Walt Disney Pictures as a Producer and President of Gunn Films. Her first film as Co-Producer was Freaky Friday (2003) and continuing with titles such as Bedtime Stories (2008) and Race To Witch Mountain (2009).[1] Her most recent film as Executive Producer is Freakier Friday (2025), reuniting her with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsey Lohan.
Career
Ann Marie Sanderlin began her career as a production assistant on the HBO Film The Tuskegee Airman, which was directed by DGA Award nominee Robert Markowitz and starring Laurence Fishburne, Courtney B. Vance, and Andre Braugher.
In 2002, she was named president of Gunn Films and worked with producer Andrew Gunn.[2] Their first film together was the box office hit Freaky Friday (2003) directed by Mark Waters and starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan . The film, an adaptation of Mary Rodgers's 1972 comedic novel Freaky Friday, grossed $161 Million Dollars Worldwide and the film's soundtrack was awarded an RIAA Gold Record.[3]
Sanderline went on to produce with Gunn Sky High (2005) directed by Mike Mitchell and starring Kurt Russell; College Road Trip (2008) directed by Roger Kumble, starring Martin Lawrence and Raven-Symoné;[4] Bedtime Stories (2008) directed by Adam Shankman, starring Adam Sandler and Keri Russell[5]; and Race To Witch Mountain directed by Andy Fickman, starring Dwayne Johnson.[6]
In 2003 Ann Marie Sanderline was named the Executive Director of Disney Entertainment Television (DET) Writing Program. She held the position, nurturing talent until 2010. Her television credits include the Disney Channel Movie Minuteman. In September 2004 she was named to The Hollywood Reporter's NEXT GEN 35 UNDER 35 annual list of most Influential Industry Executives under 35.
In 2024, Ms. Sanderline reunited with Academy Award winner Jamie Lee Curtis, Critics Choice Award winner Lindsey Lohan, and Producer Kristin Burr for Freakier Friday.[7] Directed by Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee Nisha Ganatra, the film premiered on July 22nd 2025 at The El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles. The film was released theatrically August 8th 2025 to strong reviews and an opening weekend gross of $28,583,167.[8]
