Angelo Tijssens is a Belgian writer and screenplay writer. Together with Lukas Dhont he co-wrote the acclaimed films Close (2022)[1]and Girl (2018)[2]. With Cato Kusters he co-wrote the film Julian (2025)[3]. The 2026 film Dust which he wrote was selected for a Golden Bear at Berlin film festival. [1] He is married to Nick Mattan and lives in Antwerp. [4]

Tijssens's debut as a fiction writer, The Edges, was published in 2025 and translated by Michele Hutchison.[5]
