Andy Vallentine is a Michigan-born video and film director[1]. He is known for his short film, The Letter Men, which premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival[2], as well as music videos for clients including Charlie Puth, Patrick Starrr[3], and Trisha Paytas[4].

Career

Vallentine got his start right out of college working for the YouTube network, Fullscreen (company), where he became a producer and director[5]. His first short film, The Letter Men, debuted at the 2022 Tribeca Festival. The Letter Men tells the true story of anti-aircraft gunner Gilbert Bradley and infantryman Gordon Bowsher, two gay soldiers who exchanged secret love letters during World War II[6][7][1]. The short earned Vallentine "Best Director for an International Short Film" at the 12th Social World Film Festival [8].

Vallentine recently completed work on his debut feature film, The Mattachine Family, which stars Nico Tortorella, Juan Pablo Di Pace, Emily Hampshire, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, and Heather Matarazzo[9][1]. The film was executive produced by Zach Braff[9][10].
