Andrew van den Houten is an American film producer. He's most known for producing the Sundance Film Festival Official Selection The Woman (2011 film)' as well as the Independent Spirit Awards Nominee In The Family.[1] [2][3]

Modernciné

In 2002, he founded Modernciné, a production company that focused on independently made horror films. Modernciné produced more than 20 films including The Woman (2011 film)|The Woman, The Girl Next Door (2007 film)|The Girl Next Door, All Cheerleaders Die, Jug Face, Offspring (2009 film) and Malignant (2013 film).[4][5]

Hood River Entertainment

Following Modernciné, van den Houten founded Hood River Entertainment. A new production company focusing on a wider variety of independent feature films. [6][7]
