Education

Van Arsdale received his Bachelor of Arts in History at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.[1] He went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in San Diego, California.[1]

Legal Career

After passing the bar in California[6], Nevada, and Montana in late 2018, in 2019 Van Arsdale founded his private practice AVA Law Group, Inc. AVA Law Group is a personal injury law firm with home offices in Billings, Montana and San Diego, California.[7] AVA Law Group is branded under the phrase "representing the people against the powerful." Some of AVA Law Group's practice areas include medical malpractice, sexual abuse, product liability, vehicle accidents, and slip and fall cases.[8]

Van Arsdale's most recent work focuses on sexual abuse cases. Through Abused in Scouting (AIS), a legal movement made up of a team of lawyers, Van Arsdale represents nearly 16,000 survivors of sexual abuse in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).[5] These clients allege they were sexually abused by Scoutmaster and volunteers in the BSA and that the organization deliberately hid their abuse in secret reports known as the perversion files.[9]
