Andrea Unger is an Italian author, professional Trader (finance) and contributor to the field of systematic trading. He won four years of the World Cup Championship of Futures Trading (2012, 2010, 2009, and 2008).

Early life and education

Unger was born on December 2, 1966 in Tuttlingen, Germany. In 1990, he graduated with honors from the Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano) Mechanical Engineering Department. He was formally accepted as a member of Mensa International.

Unger is an honorary member of SIAT (Italian Society of Technical Analysis), the Italian branch of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA).[1]

Career

Andrea Unger started out as a mechanical engineer, but he yearned for independent work. Indeed, in 2001 he started his career as a trader. He began with covered warrants and then focused on Futures contract|Futures and Shares, preferring a systematic approach.[2]
In order to improve his trading skills, he participated in 2004 Larry R. Williams professional training, now Larry Williams University, and has since become a "Hall of Fame" member.[3]
In 2008, Unger became the first Italian trader to win the World Cup Trading Championships futures category, with a 672% profit rate.[4][5][6] Unger currently serves as the president of Unger Academy, the trading school he founded in 2015.[7][8]
