Andrea Hence Evans (November 28, 1976) is an African-American author, attorney[1], and civil engineer.[2][3][4][5]. She is best known for authoring “All About Inventing” and “All About Trademarks[6][7].”

Evans is an alumni of Spelman College, Georgia Tech, and The George Washington University Law School[8][9][10][9].

Evans was a former patent examiner and trademark attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office[10]. She is a member of the Texas State Bar, United States Patent and Trademark Office Patent Bar, and United States Supreme Court Bar.

Evans is a consultant, mentor, and guest on the television show Make48, which airs on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)[11].

Evans is also a proponent of exposing young students to STEM at an early age, and her work was featured by Champions of Change, a program started by President Barack Obama[12]
