Amit Singh Rathore is a British-Indian serial entrepreneur, technologist, and blockchain and cryptocurrency expert based in London.[1] He is the founder of Football Fan, a fan-driven mobile application for football enthusiasts, and CineFunTV, a subscription-based live-streaming platform acquired by Jadoo TV Inc.[2][3]

Throughout his career, Rathore has accrued extensive experience in various financial domains across multiple countries, including India, South Korea, the UK, the US, Taiwan, and Africa. He is highly proficient in blockchain, cryptocurrency, financial management, and technological innovations, with over 23 years of industry experience.[4][5][6]

Early life and education

Rathore was born and raised in the small village of Jhabua in India, the son of lawyer parents Ashok Singh Rathore and Archana Singh Rathore. His interest in football was sparked by the 1986 World Cup final between Argentina and West Germany, which he watched live on television. From a young age, he was actively involved in playing football on the rough gravel roads in his village. Upon completing his eighth-grade education, he attended boarding school to continue his studies. During his school years, he honed his football skills and represented his school at several state-level competitions.

In 1996, Rathore enrolled at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya to pursue a bachelor's degree in computer applications. He later obtained a master's degree in computer management from Savitribai Phule Pune University. In 2006, he earned a master's degree in software systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani. In 2018, he completed a one-year certification course in blockchain and cryptocurrency from Oxford University.

Career

In 2019, Rathore founded the Football Fan app, a dedicated platform for football fans.[7] The app combines sports technology with business opportunities and connects billions of fans worldwide.[8] The app provides an immersive fan experience, allowing fans to create and contribute their football-focused content.[9] The app's key features include user generated content, fan engagement, videos, podcasts, photos, opinions, banter rooms, reactions to the latest results, and rewards in the form of FanCoin.[10]

Before founding the Football Fan app, Rathore worked in various financial domains in countries such as India, South Korea, the UK, the US, Taiwan, and Africa. He held positions such as Lead Solution Architect, Solution Architect, Senior Technical Architect, and Team Leader, working for companies such as RBS/NatWest, Lloyds Banking Group, Bank of America, British Telecom, Hewlett Packard, and HCL Technologies. His expertise in the financial domain includes digital banking, payments, financial risk, commercial banking, commercial finance, and microfinance.[11]

Rathore's venture, CineFunTV, which was founded in 2011, was acquired by Jadoo TV Inc in 2017. CineFunTV was a subscription-based live streaming OTT platform available on over 25 internet-connected devices, streaming 150+ live TV channels, 5000+ films, and thousands of hours of VOD and catch-up TV content.[12] CineFunTV was built in-house and was proud to be the only online platform to live stream events featuring Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and British Prime Minister David Cameron in 2015.[13]
