Alireza Daryanavard is a performance artist and director.
Biography
Daryanavard was born in Tehran, Iran, and he has been living in Austria since 2014. He started working as an actor at the age of 12.[1]The Theatre actor|actor and Theatre director Alireza Daryanavard, was successful in Iran as a film and stage actor as well as a radio and television presenter. With his theater collective Hybrid, he first brought the autobiographical solo “A stateless person” to the stage in 2018.[2]
Theatre career
In 2017 Daryanavard was awarded the Austrian Federal Chancellery for the performing arts, and in 2019 he received a scholarship from the Heidelberger Stückemarkt.[3]
At WERK X-Petersplatz he thrilled both the press and the audience in the 2018/19 season with the world premiere of “A Stateless Person” and last season with his play “Bloody Summer”, for which he won the critics' survey by “Theater heute ”At the highlights of the season in the category“ Best Young Artist ”and was nominated for the Nestroy Theatre Prize|NESTROY Prize 2020 in the Best Young Male category.
