Alexandra Sorenson (born 04 October 2002), is an American influencer and fashion designer, known for her work in creating elaborate Disney inspired gowns and other original ballgown and high fashion designs.[1] She rose to influencer status after she began to post on TikTok in December of 2020.[2]

Early life

Sorenson was born in Kennewick, Washington in 2002, the oldest child to Lisa and Donald Sorenson. After graduating from Southridge High School in the summer of 2020, she began attending Chapman University as an art history major.

From the age of two, Sorenson studied as a classical violinist and later began acting at the age of 10. She did not begin to start her sewing career until the summer of 2020, when she sewed her first ever article of clothing.[3]

Career

Influencer

Sorenson first went viral on Christmas Eve of 2019, where she posted a comedy mash-up video of Disney movies. Following the success of this TikTok, her fashion and Disney inspired videos began to perform exceedingly well.

Fashion Designer

Before rising to fame, Sorenson began teaching herself how to sew as a quarantine hobby in the early summer of 2020. After completing her first gown - and first sewing project ever - in July of 2020[2], Sorenson continued to sew, leaning towards a Disney inspired portfolio. She has now made over fifty costumes and ballgowns, being a mix of pop-culture inspired outfits and original designs.

Personal life

Sorenson has three younger sisters, whom she often sews for.
