He is also involved in the fashion industry and has designed customized eyewear and t-shirts. In November 2018, Boller held a group show at his studio penthouse in Midtown, Manhattan with contemporary artists David Paul Kay, Joel Bermano, Sandy Cohen, and WhIsBe. Despite the inclamet weather, the show was held outside under a tent and was attended by almost 100 guests.

In 2019, Boller moved to Zurich, Switzerland where he lived and worked for two years with an interest in learning more about his family roots which included anabaptist persecution and execution by drowning. His studio was located along the Limmat River in the historic district of the city. After the COVID-19 pandemic, Boller decided to move back to Upstate New York, where he currently lives and works.

History

The landmarked studio (originally the Spring House) was built in 1880 as a single-family home, but then almost immediately converted to a boarding house due to its large scale. More recently, the property has been reconceptualized as an artist-in-residence destination, as well as the primary workplace for the named artist.

The artist-in-residency program is currently managed by Owen Boller, a businessman and real estate broker at Compass.

Location & Architecture

The original home spans 8,600 square feet and features a large wraparound terrace with panoramic views of the Delaware River and 3,024 acres of Pensylvania State Game Lands. There are 12 rooms for guests and a large commercial grade kitchen as well as a fitness center, a business center, and an arcade room. A 700 square foot recording studio is located in an outbuilding of the property. In 2012 the studio addition was constructed which measures roughly 4,000 square feet.

The studio is situated in the town of Barryville, NY. The location is highly regarded as one of the most verdant stretches of the river. It is home to the Bald Eagle and the American Bobcat.
