Akshay Anand works as Professor at Neuroscience Research Lab, Department of Neurology and Professor In-Charge, CCRYN Centre for Mind Body Interventions through Yoga, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh.

Biography

Prof. Akshay was borne in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh in 1972.He was graduate from Punjab University, Chandigarh. He obtained a PhD in Neuroscience from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in June 1999.

Career

Dr Anand was nominated for India’s prestigious Padma Award, 2020[1]. He has been awarded for Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar Healing Award (2021), ICMR Amrut Mody Unichem Prize-2012,[2] Annual PGIMER faculty award-2013, 2014, Sardar Vallabhabhi Patel Foundation 9th International Prestigious Sardar Patel Award, 2014[3], Scopus Young Scientist Award Runner up, National Academy of Sciences 2012, ICMR Shankuntla Amir Chand Award (2010),[4] Young Scientist Award from Department of Atomic Energy (2005), He is also Advisory Board Member, Center for Consciousness, Cognition and Compassion, Harvard University, Boston, USA
