Aji Abraham is an American serial entrepreneur, business executive, and an angel investor based in Chicago.[1] He is the founder of Code Ventures, a startup incubator, and co-founder of ShowReel, a video networking platform for career growth. Abraham also serves as the CEO of Armia Systems,[2] a web and mobile development agency, and President of SupportPRO, a remote infrastructure management organization.

Abraham has over two decades of professional experience and has worked with multiple renowned firms like Motorola, PIO Social, Platform Venture, Alice.com, and others. In the due course of his career, Abraham has also established several startup companies like Locologic, Eatyn, Ravox, Social Defender, and others.

Abraham specializes in software development, outsourcing, offshoring, DevOps, IoT, AI, ML, and big data. He is also a renowned speaker and is often seen at global conferences speaking on the topics of technology, software development, entrepreneurship, DevOps, and infrastructure management.[3] He has been a speaker at several high-profile events such as PHP Developer Conference, Chicago Small Business Expo, Hostingcon, and Entrepreneur Circle.

Education

Abraham after completing his high school education enrolled in the College of Engineering in Trivandrum in 1989 to pursue B.Tech in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation.

Abraham then went to Arizona State University to acquire an MBA degree. Simultaneously he also did MS in Information Management, graduating in 1998.

Career

Abraham started his career in 1998, right after acquiring an MBA degree. He joined Motorola as a software engineer and within a year worked his way up to become a portfolio strategy manager. After working for over five years in this position, Abraham became a product line marketing manager for the company.

In 2002, Abraham founded Armia Systems, a leading web and mobile development agency based in Chicago. Armia Systems produced a series of open-source online applications under Abraham's leadership, which are marketed through iScripts.com. Two years later, he also became the president of SupportPRO, a 24X7 DevOps and Server Management organization focusing on the hosting, ISP, and ASP industry. He is currently serving as CEO of Armia Systems and President of SupportPro.

In 2011, Abraham co-founded PIO Social, an application designed to empower existing customers to be social brand ambassadors and attract new customers. It was later acquired by Brickfish, where Abraham became the executive vice president of engineering. He served for over a year at this firm.

Abraham, in 2012, became a partner at Platform Venture, a startup accelerator in Chicago where he worked for over four years focusing on the technical aspects of the portfolio companies. In 2015, Abraham became the CTO of Alice.com, where he worked for three years.

In 2016, Abraham founded Code Ventures, a startup incubator designed to help businesses with the technological aspect and scale their operations.

In 2020, Abraham co-founded ShowReel with Sabeer Bhatia, the founder of Hotmail.com. ShowReel is a video networking platform for advancing professional careers.
