Ahmed Elashry[1] also known as Ahmed Maher Elashry (احمد ماهر العشري), is a Politician and Lawyer[2]. He started his career as a Journalist. Elashry was the youngest person in the world to receive the prestigious Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship.[3][4] Ahmed served on the executive teams of three Egyptian Prime Ministers. Ahmed started his career as a TV and Radio host in Egypt, he is the co-founder of Salam ya Masr radio show, the first youth run Radio show in the Middle East. Ahmed Elashry is the Vice Chair of the Young Lawyers - Lower Mainland Section of the Canadian Bar Association.[5]

In 2015 Ahmed was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship where he studied politics in the University of York.[6] Ahmed is a frequent commenter on Egyptian politics[7][8][9][10]

Ahmed represented Egypt officially in various events and conferences around the world where he talked about politics and volunteerism[11][12]

Education and Academia

Ahmed holds a Law degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Masters Degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of York in England[13] and LLM from the University of British Columbia.[14] in 2018, Ahmed was awarded the prestigious Hubert H. Humphrey fellowship where he studied Public Relations and Law at the Arizona State University. [15]He also worked for one of DC’s biggest lobbying firm during his fellowship.
