Acharya Shree Yogeesh is a Jain monk, humanitarian and author, known as the founder of a Jain-Hindu Tirth, Siddhayatan and creator of the Purnam Yoga system.[1][2][3][4]
Activism
In 2008, Acharya Shree founded Siddhayatan Tirth and Spiritual Retreat which is the largest Jain-Hindu ashram outside of India[5][6], located on a 250-acre site in Windom near Dallas, Texas, United States.[7][4][8] Sadhvi Siddhali Shree and Sadhvi Anubhuti, the disciples of Acharya Shree Yogeesh are serving as the spiritual director and the operations director of Siddhayatan Tirth.[9][10]
His teachings mainly focus on non-violence, spirituality, yoga, meditation, providing education for underprivileged children, eradicate sex-trafficking and animal rights protection.[11][12]
Acharya Shree is also the founder of a non-profit organization, Stopping Traffic which focuses on raising awareness and combating human trafficking. He is also the executive producer of two documentaries, Stopping Traffic and Surviving Sex Trafficking.[13] Both documentaries aim to mobilize communities and foster collective efforts to eradicate sex-trafficking and promote the well-being of survivors.[14][15]
