Abeer Fahim (PhD) is a professor and author.[1] She is currently an Assistant Professor of English at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, Institute of Applied Technology, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She is the owner and founder of the online platform "Juliet Turns the Page" and author of the novel "Her Seven Days in Bali."[2]

Education

Abeer graduated from the American University of Sharjah with a BA in English Language and Literature (concentration Literature) in 2005.[3] She completed an MA in English Literary Studies at Durham University in 2006 and a PhD in Literature in 2012. The title of her PhD dissertation is : "Redeeming the Betrayed Body: Technology and Embodiment in the Fiction of Thomas Pynchon and Don DeLillo."[4][5]

Career

Abeer taught at the English Department at the American University of Sharjah from September 2011 until February 2018. She has been an Assistant Professor of English at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic since January of 2020. In 2019, she published her first novel "Her Seven Days in Bali."[6][7]

Personal Life

Abeer Fahim lives in Abu Dhabi with her husband and two sons.[8]
