Öona Dahl is an American producer,[1] DJ, and music artist.[2][3] She has collaborated with a number of record labels, including Hallucienda, All Day I Dream,[4] Anjunadeep, Watergate, and Rumors.[5][6]

Early life and education

Dahl was born in Florida and raised in New York state. She later lived in San Francisco and Denver running medical cannabis dispensaries and DJing to earn a living. Dahl later spent 2013 until 2015 in Berlin producing music and having a DJ residency at Kater Blau in the Acid Bogen.[7]

Dahl was introduced to Madonna and Donna Summer's music by her mother when she was a child, and they became some of her influences. Dahl became interested in DJing at an early age and started to DJ in 2002 after attending her first rave in Toronto. Dahl began learning softwares like Fruityloops to produce her own music and soon after started performing at local raves in New York. Dahl relocated to Florida in 2004 to further study sound design in college.[8]

Dahl began her professional career as a DJ while still in college.[9] She signed with Hallucination Recordings around this time and began playing at their annual events. Dahl for the upcoming decade performed at a number of local clubs and events.[10][11]

It was not until 2014 that she released her EP on All Day I Dream and her debut album Holograma on Hallucienda.[12][13] She has since continued to be a music producer, DJ, visual artist & music video director.[14] Dahl has released two albums, ten EPs, and many singles and remixes as of 2022.[15][16]

She regularly releases on her label Hallucienda with DJ Three which began releasing music in 2014 including both of Dahl's studio albums.[17][18]
