Zeeshan Yousaf (November 1986), is a Pakistani Mathematician and HEC Certified Supervisor [1], trained in Geometry, Cosmic mathematics, and mathematical physics. He is a researcher in the field of Mathematics and Basic Sciences [2]. He has started his career by joining University of the Punjab (PU), Lahore as a Lecturer in 2014 [3]. He did Ph.D. Mathematics specialized in Mathematical Physics, and Cosmology [4].
Early life and Education
Yousaf's father was an Army contractor. Born in Sialkot, Yousaf gets his early education from Allama Iqbal Public School, Sialkot. He earned a Bachelor of Science at Govt. Murray College, Sialkot in 2017. He is an alumnus of University of the Punjab, where he received MSc (Mathematics). He completed his M.Phil. leading to Ph.D. in 2015, under the advisership of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sharif from the same institution [5].
Career
Yousaf has been known for his contributions to Gravitational_collapse, modified gravity models, and stability analysis. His contributions are towards the stability analysis of self-gravitating objects, and cosmological aspects of modified gravity. He is currently focusing on investigating the exact solutions of the Einstein field equations and the effects of the cosmological constant and Alternatives to general relativity modified theories of gravity on compact systems and thus developed an interest in the cosmological constant and the Dark_energy. Yousaf has participated and attended more than 35 International and National workshops and conferences in his field [6] [7] [8].
Yousaf has contributed to the field of cosmic mathematics, gravitation, stability analysis, and the theory of Inflation (cosmology)[9]. He is currently focusing on investigating the observational and theoretical signatures of modified gravity on ultra-large scales [10].
He has trained many young researchers who are now carrying his legacy forward across the world[11]. Yousaf started a group named Group of Gravitation and Cosmology (GGC) at University of the Punjab [12]. He has contributed to the improvement of scientific understanding of our universe among Pakistan's young researchers. He has volunteered to encourage researchers in developing cosmological viable theories that are not only mathematically consistent but also observationally testable [13][14][15].
