Zaza Pachulia Basketball Academy, commonly known as Zaza, is a professional basketball club based in Tbilisi, Georgia. The club was founded in 2015 as an academy to develop youth players from the Republic of Georgia. The club entered the Georgian Youth Basketball League for the 2015–16 season.
History
Foundation
The Academy was established on 2 September 2015 to function as a basketball academy for regional talent from the Republic of Georgia. In its first years, the team played with several youth teams in domestic competitions.
First seasons
In its debut season, u18 Team "Zaza" participated in the Georgian youth basketball B league. The team consisted of a selection of young promising players and by winning it they qualified for the next season of u18 Georgian basketball A league.
