Zaya Perysian is an American internet celebrity and LGBT activist. In 2022, Perysian was featured in INTO's 20 under 20 list and was listed as a 2022 LGBTQ+ TikTok Trailblazer. She also appeared in the show Hidden Canyons.
Early Life
Zaya Perysian was born in Lowell, Michigan. She has also lived in South Haven and Grand Rapids. Perysian came out as a Trans woman at 18 with the support of close friends, but has spoken about her negative experiences with unsupportive family.[1]
Career
Beginning in 2019, Perysian began building an online following. By May of 2024, she had reached 4.8 million TikTok followers. She has partnered with brands such as Lyft, Parade, Clean & Clear, and Function of Beauty.[2]
In September of 2021, Perysian publically feuded with Nikita Dragun after she made statements that compared the beauty of cisgender and transgender women.[3]
In early 2022, she played the role of Asha in the web series Hidden Canyons.[4] On June 28th, 2022, she was listed in INTO's 20 under 20 list.[5] In the same month, she was also featured as a 2022 LGBTQ+ TikTok Trailblazer.[6]
In 2023, she worked on Chrissy Chlapecka's music video for the single "I'm So Hot."[7]
On March 31, 2024, she fundraised for the TikTok-a-Thon for Trans Healthcare.[8]
