Zane Fields (born 11 November 1994), also known as MDN Zane, is an American rapper and entrepreneur. Zane is the founder of a namesake music label and also runs a nonprofit organization called Million Dollar Network, which is known for creating an impact and change within the community.[1]

Zane became widely known in late 2018 after the release of his debut album, Behind the 8 Ball. He subsequently released two other albums Mdn4I and 11:11, that further amplified his stature in the music industry, especially the hip-hop scene.[2] His music has been defined by a particular rapping style, and he is also well recognized for his exceptional vocal capabilities.[3]

Early life and education

Zane was born on 11 November 1994 to Anthony and Cheryl Parker Fields in New Jersey. He relocated to Clayton County, Georgia, when he was two years old. Zane grew up with a single mother and an elder sibling with whom he formed a strong bond. The siblings acquired a passion for football together.

After one semester at South Carolina State Zane, Zane went to a junior college and played Division I football. He then ended up in South Georgia, heavily inspired to take his football goals to the next level. Zane continued his education at Albany State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication.

Career

Zane started his music career while he was still in high school. His passion turned to pursue music full time when he got the opportunity to perform with Rick Ross in the school’s homecoming concert.[4]

In 2018, Zane released his first song, “Swear to GOD,” which was quickly followed by the release of his debut album, Behind the 8 Ball. Apart from his covers, he has continued to enjoy commercial success, releasing two more albums and a few singles. Zane has also established his own record label and a non-profit organization in New Jersey that regularly hosts school drives and homeless community outreach programs.[5]

As of 2022, Zane is devoting his time to work on his latest project called “11/11”. Named after his birthday, the eleventh of November the two numbers “11/11” when put together stand for being protected by your guardian angels.
