Zaid Ali Tahir known online as ZaidAliT,[7] is a Pakistani Canadian YouTuber[8], Social media celebrity,[9] Vlogger,[10][11][12] comedian and influencer.[13] He was born and raised by relatively low income pakistani family in Waterloo, Canada.[14] He took part in live UK TV show "United We Stand" in 2018.[15] He is recipient of PISA 2020 and Hum Award.[16][17][18]
Early life
Zaid Ali was born on July 02, 1995 in Waterloo, Canada, then moved to Pakistan in early life. He later moved back to Canada, and graduated from University of Waterloo in Business Studies.
Social Media Career
Zaid Ali started his Youtube career in 2010 with video titled Your Profile Picture is Cute. His viewership and subscriptions boosted when he started to produce family friendly content and deleted all of his vulgar videos. Currently he has 5.5M facebook followers,[19] 2.9M Instagram followers[20] and 3.9M Youtube subscribers (3.21M ZaidAliT Vlogs plus 678K ZaidAliT). He allegedly turned down a role in Hollywood movie over a kissing scene.[21][22][23][24][25] In 2015, he went viral on social media when Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha tweeted about Zaid's video.[26]
