Zachary “Zach” Withington (born c. 2008) is an American student‑athlete and robotics enthusiast at Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School (MICDS) in St. Louis, Missouri. He competes on the varsity squash and golf teams and is active in the school’s LEGO® robotics program.
Early life and education
Withington joined MICDS in third grade and quickly became involved in both athletics and STEM activities. Alongside his academic coursework, he has participated in the MICDS LEGO® robotics team, presenting at school STEM fairs and competing in regional FIRST LEGO League events.[1] He has regularly appeared on the MICDS Head of School’s Honor Roll.
Athletics
Squash
Withington is a member of the MICDS Boys Varsity Squash team.[2] During the 2023–24 season, he was recognized for his dedication to improving his game and received a team shout‑out in the Rams Rewind winter sports recap.[3] For the 2024–25 season, Withington was named one of the team captains and earned the Most Valuable Player award at the U.S. Squash High School Nationals Tournament for the second consecutive year.[4]
Golf
In addition to squash, Withington competes on the MICDS Boys Varsity Golf team and has also played on the Junior Varsity squad.[5][6]

Personal life
Outside of athletics and robotics, Withington enjoys coding, playing chess, and participating in school spirit traditions such as the annual MICDS bonfire. He resides with his family in St. Louis, Missouri.
