José Pedro Amaro dos Santos Reis Order of Merit (Portugal) (14 September 1956 – 30 November 2017), better known as Zé Pedro, was a Portugal|Portuguese musician, known as a founding member and guitarist of the Portuguese Rock music band Xutos & Pontapés.

Awards and honors

In 2004 Zé Pedro, along with the other members of Xutos & Pontapés, was awarded the Order of Merit (Portugal) by the President of Portugal Jorge Sampaio.[1]

In February 2019, Portuguese airline TAP Air Portugal baptized an Airbus A321neo from its fleet after Zé Pedro. He became the first rock musician to be honored with an aircraft name by TAP.[2]
