Yurii Radko - (born August 22, 1990, in Chortkiv, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian film score composer, musician, and educator. He holds a PhD in Arts (Doctor of Philosophy).
Biography
Yurii Radko was born on August 22, 1990, in the city of Chortkiv, Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine. He graduated from Chortkiv Humanitarian-Pedagogical College in 2009 with a diploma of junior specialist with honors. He also earned a Bachelor's degree (2013) and a Master's degree (2014) in Music Art with honors from Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
He studied in the postgraduate program at this university, but defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Stylistic Evolution of the Genre of Accordion Sonata in Eastern Slavic Instrumental Art of the Second Half of the 20th - Early 21st Centuries[1]" in the field of Musical Art at the specialized academic council of Lviv National Music Academy named after M. V. Lysenko in 2019.
Academic Activity
Yurii Radko is an active participant in international and national scientific conferences, and his research has been published in Ukrainian and international scholarly journals. The main areas of his scientific work include timbral dramaturgy and the development of the bayan sonata genre, as well as research on binaural rhythms and music therapy.

Creative Work
Yurii Radko is a composer and sound designer in the film and television industry. He has created music for six feature films, including Roadkill, I Rise, and Eldritch USA. His score for Roadkill[2] received critical acclaim for its ability to convey feelings of isolation and tension, creating an atmosphere of unease.
He composed the music for the short film Home, which explores the theme of humanity's destruction of its only home. The film Home won at the Goa Short Film Festival (2021, Best International Short Film) and the Europe Film Festival U.K. (2021, Best Creative Short), and it was nominated at nine other festivals. For his work on the short film Echoes, Yurii Radko won the "Best Composer for Short Film" award at the Bridge Fest Awards 2024[3] in Vancouver, Canada. Additionally, Yurii Radko creates electronic music and is involved in music therapy, specifically creating meditative compositions using binaural rhythms.
