Yukti Thareja (born January 5, 2000) is an Indian actress and model known for her work in the Indian film and music video industry. She gained recognition as a semi-finalist on MTV's Supermodel of the Year in 2019 and her performance in the music video Lut Gaye alongside Emraan Hashmi.[1] She has made notable appearances in Telugu, Malayalam, and Punjabi entertainment projects. Notable works include Rangabali (2023),[2] and Marco (2024).[3]
Early life and education
Thareja was born into a Haryanvi family in Karnal, Haryana, to Parveen, and Rita Thareja. She attended Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce in Delhi, where she studied for a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree. However, she left during her final year to focus on her modeling career.
Career
Thareja began her modeling journey by winning the Delhi Times Fresh Face contest in 2017. She gained widespread attention as a semi-finalist in MTV's Supermodel of the Year in 2019. She has worked on catalog shoots for brands such as House of Pink and Hallmark Suites.[4]
Thareja started her acting career with music videos, notably "Ik Supna" (2020). She rose to prominence with her role in the music video "Lut Gaye," featuring Emraan Hashmi and sung by Jubin Nautiyal, which amassed millions of views shortly after its release.[5]
In 2023, Yukti made her film debut with the Telugu movie Rangabali, opposite actor Naga Shaurya, produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri. She also entered Malayalam cinema with Marco (2024), an action entertainer directed by Haneef Adeni, in which she stars opposite Unni Mukundan. Yukti has also appeared in Telugu films such as the KJQ (King, Jackie & Queen).[6]
Thareja actively engages with her audience on social media, particularly on Instagram, where she has garnered a following of over 892,000 followers.
