Adeyinka Olanrewaju Okeleye popularly known as Yinka Okeleye (born 12 August, 1991) is a Nigerian songwriter and worship leader. He officially started his music career in 2017 with the release of the debut single “Chukwu Mo Nso“.[1][2]
Early life
Yinka Okeleye was born on 12 August, 1991 in Abeokuta to the family of Mr & Mrs Folorunsho Jubril Okeleye. He's the second born among four children and originally hails from Ogun State, Nigeria.[3] He obtained a Bachelors’ Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State [4]
Music career
Adeyinka Okeleye discovered his passion for music during his NYSC as a youth corper in Abakiliki, Ebonyi State. Afterwards, he joined the music team of the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF).[5]
In 2017, he officially started his music career and debuted his single "Chukwu Mo Nso", independently. In August, 2018, Yinka released his second single, "None Like You".[6] In March 2020, he released another single "Jesus". In March 2022 and September 2022, he released two singles "Acts II" and "Toluwanimi" (God's Own) respectively. [7][8]
Personal life
In 5 March, 2023, Yinka Okeleye proposed to gospel artiste, Sunmisola Agbebi in a private ceremony. Following this, they had their introduction on 5 March, 2023 at Sunmisola’s residence, Lagos State.[9][10]
