Yellow Door Energy is a solar developer Headquarters in the United Arab Emirates. History

Yellow Door Energy was founded in 2015 by Jeremy Crane in the United Arab Emirates.[1] The company was awarded their first project by Unilever in the United Arab Emirates in 2016. In the same year, the company began operations in Jordan and completed their Project financing program in 2017.

Towards the end of 2019, a total of $65 million in Series A round was raised and operations began in Pakistan. [2]

At the of 2020, the company had a total of 110 megawatts of solar assets operating and under development in 5 countries.[3] The company also closed the year with $41 million of new projects.[4]

On February 2021, the company was secured with loans worth $31.2 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development(EBRD), German Investment Corporation(DEG), and the Global Environment Facility(GEF). HSBC and Arab Bank were also included in this transaction as offshore and onshore security agents. The purpose of this loan was to develop and operate eight Solar park in Jordan.[5][6]
