(සමාදාන විනිශ්චයකාර, දේශමාන්‍ය, ලොකුගම්හේවාගේ යසන්ත ඉඳුනිල් ගුණරත්න ද සිල්වා) is an Automotive Engineer, Director Investigation in Lanka Human Rights Organization, Chairman in United Social Welfare Trade Union Gurudeniya, Former Rehabilitation Officer & Famous Social Worker in Sri Lanka.

Personal life

He was born on 22 September 1974 in Matara, Sri Lanka as second child of the family. His father, Mr. Lokugamhewage Gunarathna is a Justice of Peace, Inquirer of Sudden Deaths & Pioneer transport agent in Nuwara Eliya. His mother, Mrs. Seekkubaduge Suguna de Silva is a Justice of Peace, Registrar of Birth, Marriage & Deaths in Walapane, Nuwara Eliya.

Yasantha started his education in Ragala National School from 1980 to 1986. Then in 1986, he attended to Poramadulla Central College and completed his school life. After that, in 1996, He had completed his higher education in Ceylon-German Technical Training Institute & Technical College Beliatta.

Career

Since 1996 for 2000, he worked as an Instructor in Automotive Engineering at Technical Colleges. In 2000, he joined as a Rehabilitation Officer in The Youth Rehabilitation and Training Centre (YRTC), Bindunuwewa.

In 2002, he started his own tea-transport service in Nuwara Eliya District and 2007, he established a metal query and motor vehicle consultation service in Kandy.

Social work

He has been contributed his strength completely to the social work and among them there were, Welfare of traders in the Kandy area, organizing blood donation camps related with National Hospital, Kandy. He contributed to donate foods, stationaries and necessary medicines for the elders and school students.

As well as he is an active practitioner of human rights and he involves to behalf of the victims to consulting about human rights.
