Yana Mir, b. 12th April, is Editor in chief The Real Kashmir News. She was born in Anantnag , Kashmir and did her studies and schooling outside valley. She did MBA from Mumbai University. She belongs to a Srinagar based family, but later moved to Mumbai. Her Grandfather was in Jammu and Kashmir police and Uncle was a BJP Sarpanch who was shot dead by terrorists.
Notable works
Besides coverage of on ground public grievances, Yana Does lot of social work in valley. In April 2021, Yana, Organized first of its kind fashion show in Kashmir, stating that glamour aspirants from the valley deserve a local platform to showcase their designing, make up and modelling talent. She has reached out to women in far flung villages to make them aware of importance of Personal Hygiene and also undertaken distribution of sanitary pads in rural areas. She has been part of distribution drive of essential items in different regions of Kashmir valley during the pandemic. She has been commended for raising her voice for rights of displaced Kashmir Pandit community in various tv channels and news debates.
