Yamila Abraham (born June 20th, 1975) is an American writer, video game developer and founder of Yaoi Press, an independent publisher of yaoi comics outside of Asia. In addition, she self publishes homoerotic novels on Amazon.[1]
Early life
Yamila attended Southern New Hamshire University from 1994 to 1998.[2] She also attended various conventions to sell her comic books such as Yaoi-Con, Anime Expo, and Anime Central.[3] In 2010, she wrote a chapter for the book Boys' Love Manga: Essays on the Sexual Ambiguity and Cross-Cultural Fandom of the Genre, about yaoi in Indonesia. [4]
Yaoi press
Yamila Founded Yaoi Press in 2004, located in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she would work with the company to produce fifty one graphic novels, comic books, yaoi novels, and art books for thirteen years.[5]
In 2017, she founded Y Press Games, which would go on to publish "Yaoi, Bara, and Otome" Visual Novels.[6] She is the writer and programmer for almost all of them except the superhero visual novel Mister Versatile, where she managed the project and provided music while Studio Kosen wrote.[7]
