Yaghoub Barajeh (یعقوب براجعه; born 26 January 2006) is an Iranian professional footballer who plays primarily as a right‑back for Persepolis in the Persian Gulf Pro League and has represented Iran at youth international levels.[1]
Early life
Barajeh was born in Abadan, Khuzestan Province. He started his football development at Payam Kashan.[2]
Club career
Persepolis
On 4 August 2024, Barajeh signed a four-year contract with Persepolis, becoming the club’s fourth national youth signing that season.[3]
He earned attention after assisting a goal in a Hazfi Cup match, where local press labeled him a "golden substitute."[4]
On 14 May 2025, Barajeh became the youngest league goal scorer in Persepolis history at 19 years, 3 months, and 19 days—surpassing records held by Mehrdad Oladi and Ali Alipour.[5][6]
Following national team duty, he rejoined Persepolis training in August 2025, with sports media calling him a “specialized right-back.”[7]
