Ikenna Jaja (born March 24, 1995), Professionally known as Wina Jaja, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He began his musical career as a lead singer and pianist in his local church. His career came into the spotlight when he released "For You" the first single from his debut album in 2023.[1][2]
He is currently signed to TMC Records.
Early Life and Education
Wina Jaja was born and raised in Rivers State, Nigeria, Where he attended the Meved Model International High School.[3][4]
He is the second among a family of five. Wina served as a music director in his local church and also worked with Quashu Technology Limited as a Certified Engineering Technician (CET).[5][6]
Career
At age 12 Wina started to pursue his music career by obtaining vocal lessons on YouTube and also making duets with his fans on Smule. In 2018 he self-released "One People" a digital download available through iTunes, under the name Trevor Jaja.[7][8]
In 2020 Wina released "I Am Christ" which was played in rotation across cities in Nigeria. On the 13-August-2023 Wina released "For You" which was aired on major radio stations.
He has cited Johnny Drille, Avery Wilson and Trevor Jackson as his key contemporary influences.
